Welcome to River Valley Players!
Nestled along the gently rolling hillside of the Illinois River, the vibrant river community of Henry, IL is the "Best Town By a Dam Site." Not just a friendly and charming community with a bustling downtown, Henry is also home to River Valley Players, a community theater organization that has been entertaining the communities of the Illinois River valley since 1977 in a unique dinner theater experience. Since its inception, RVP has staged a wide array of shows ranging from the family friendly Sound of Music, to the fun filled antics of the Church Basement Ladies, and the decadent night life of 1930's Berlin in Cabaret (the show that inspired RVP's founding!). RVP has become an integral part of the Henry community and will continue to be for years to come.
River Valley Players truly has a show for everyone - whether you are in the audience or on the stage.
RVP's 2025 Season
The RVP community is buzzing with excitement as it kicks off its 2025 season - featuring Catch Me If You Can The Musical, Annie Jr, Six The Musical Teen Edition, and Shrek The Musical - promising a vibrant lineup of performances that cater to all tastes & offers something for everyone. Local talent will shine on stage, bringing heartfelt stories to life and fostering a deeper connection within the community. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the magic of live theater and support local arts—this season is set to be unforgettable!

Join Us for Trivia and Spaghetti at Grandma's Bar & Grill!
Get together with your friends at Grandma's Bar & Grill on Park Row in Henry for trivia night and a spaghetti dinner on March 8th!
The spaghetti dinner starts at 6:00 pm and costs $12.00 per person.
The trivia night starts at 7:00 pm and costs $20.00 per person. You can sign up as a team or individually. The combo is $32.00 per person.
You can pre-purchase tickets online (either for spaghetti, trivia, or both) or if you don't know your plans, you can buy tickets at the door.
